A: We are an employee-owned company with over 20 years in the pre-cut lumber business. We have shipped countless homes throughout California and Northern Nevada.

Q: What is unique about the Endeavor Homes package?
A: We provide a complete owner/builder building material package, sold by local distributors and located close to the owner/builder.We can also arrange financing for qualified buyers- while Endeavor Homes does not actually provide the financing, we do have many lenders who will provide the loans to our owner/builder customers, without the requirement of a contractor's license.

Q: Who builds their own home?
A: In short, anyone can build their own home, especially when they are supported by us. Some of our more common owner / builders include previous home owners, renters who want to build equity, and retirees wishing to relocate.

Q: Why build vs. buying a resale home?
A: Several reasons, from building your home the way you want it, to saving money and building additional "sweat equity." When building your own home, not only do you control the quality of construction, but when the project is finished you can take great pride in your accomplishment.

Q: Does Endeavor use standard plans without modifications?
A: Endeavor has many standard plans and can accommodate modifications to most of their plans.

Q: What about a custom floor plan?
A: We consider custom plans if they fit Endeavor's profile. 50% of Endeavor's business is custom homes.

Q: What is included in the Endeavor Homes Package?
A: EVERYTHING FROM THE FLOOR UP! Our standard building package includes not only the pre-cut lumber, siding, shingles, sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, 2x6 exterior walls, R:19 wall insulation, R:30 ceiling insulation, dual glazed sliding windows, custom red oak cabinets, tubs, sinks, countertops, wall-to-wall carpets, doorbells, rain gutters, paint, stain, and yes, even the nails!

Q: What is not included in the Endeavor Homes Package?
A: The package is complete with two important exceptions: concrete foundation and rough plumbing supplies.

Q: What are the benefits of such a complete package?
A: In addition to fixing your price and saving you time, our package insures that you have the proper materials to complete your home right.

Q: How are the materials delivered?
A: The materials are delivered in five packages, on a schedule that works for the owner / builder.

  1. Girder package - (materials for flooring).
  2. Pre-nailed wall sections.
  3. Trusses (after installation of this package, the home can actually be "locked up.").
  4. Sheetrock & insulation.
  5. Finish.

Q: How can an Owner/Builder build an entire house if they have never done it before?
A: The owner / builder is provided everything they need, including blueprints, how-to booklets, instructions, pre-nailed wall sections, and of course, Endeavor Homes' world-class support.In addition, installation is included for the heating and air conditioning systems and the cabinets and the countertops! Please note: Endeavor Homes is not a licensed contractor but uses licensed subcontractors for installation of these items.

Q: What are the costs elements of a complete Endeavor Home?
A: Land, permits, foundation, our package with any upgrades, and subcontractor labor (if needed).

Q: What is the price range for a standard package?

Q: Is price protection available?
A: A small deposit gives you 4-8 months price protection.

Q: Is there financing available for Endeavor packages?
A: Yes

Q: What kind of costs can be added into the package for the purpose of financing?
A: While lending policies vary by institution, in most cases the following costs can be added:

  1. Land payoff
  2. Endeavor's package
  3. Subcontractors costs
  4. Permits, fees
  5. Upgrades
  6. Interest reserve

Q: How much cash does the typical owner / buyer need to put into the project?
A: The 10% of total value, sweat equity takes care of the rest.

Q: How long does it take the "average” Owner/Builder to complete a home, start to finish?
A: 5-1/2 to 6 months - that is working after work and most weekends.
